New Jersey offers Mobile Response & Stabilization Services for children and adolescents up to age 18. CPC Behavioral Healthcare provides these services for Monmouth County youth.
Help is available to families any time day or night, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Crisis treatment and services are provided in real-time, wherever the crisis occurs, at home, in school, or other community locations. The Mobile Response teams assist children and their families to regain control of their behavior and emotions by providing education, intervention, support, and safety planning.
The goal of the Mobile Response intervention is to improve the stability of day-to-day living both emotionally and behaviorally and reduce the need for out-of-home placement and psychiatric hospitalizations. Once the immediate threat to the child and family has been addressed, CPC clinical team members work with the child and family to determine underlying mental health issues that triggered the crisis and threaten the overall health and resiliency of the family.
CPC will continue to provide stabilization services to the child and family for a period of up to 8 weeks. CPC routinely provides families with access to an in-home therapist, behavioral assistant or parent mentor and will act as the family’s case manager during this stabilization period.
At the conclusion of stabilization services, CPC case workers will do a final assessment of progress towards goals and link the family to additional community support that will help build family strength and resiliency.
